An Abyss for the Ashes Progress Update
Barrelling through the second draft and first edits from my editor for An Abyss for the Ashes! These two rounds of edits combined are fast approaching the 50% done mark!
To break that down, Abyss is currently 60 chapters long. To put that in perspective, A Veil for the Vanguard is 47 chapters long. I only have 15 more chapters to complete the second draft. I’ve also completed the edits from my editor for the first 13 chapters of the book but there are 4 more chapters to finish that she got back to me with.
The second draft this week was a bit of a pain as I kept going back and forth between a few chapters to make them all line up properly. The last two chapters are some of the longest I’ve ever written so it took a bit more time to go through them. Hopefully it becomes easier from this point on.
